Oregonian Columnist Single-Handedly Raises the Bar on Sportsmanship
Did Oregonian sports Columnist, John Canzano have a hand in the season long suspension of RB Oregon's LeGarrette Blount for his post game tantrum?
Canzano's post game column was filed at 11:09pm Pacific last night, shortly after the conclusion of the game and the incident demanding that Blount be removed from the University of Oregon football team.
The noon Pacific Friday episode of ESPN's Outside the Lines featured the story and led with a live interview with Kirk Herbstreit who demanded serious action immediately, "There is no need to review the tapes," Herbstreit exalted.
Canazano was featured next, and once again reiterated that Blount needs to be suspended for the whole season.
Very interesting....in a community such as Portland, and Oregon in general, such public discourse can very much have an impact on decisions made on the highest, most profile levels.
