Dave is a founding member of The Thoroughbred Bloggers Alliance who after working full-time in the horse racing industry (for the ADW, TwinSpires.com, 2007-2012), started his own Production Company out of SF, CA (www.rabbiwhere.com). In 1998, Dave "officially" became just your average, avid horseplayer who has since graduated from passive participant to hopeful, passionate advocate for the sport he believes has the infinite potential to thrive in the years to come.

That $1.5B is account wagering through Oregon hub, which is about 10% of the total U.S. handle, I think. What should blow your mind is that this total $15B number hasn't grown in several years. The industry is stagnant and no one is doing anything successfully to stimulate it.
2007 parimutuel wagering in north america was less than in 2002...
